On 1 January 2020, Marie-Laue and Max became the new owners of the campsite in Prades (66), which had been municipal until then. The campsite was renamed camping Les Portes du Canigou. A name that sounded so obvious as the famous summit of the Catalan Country dominates the campsite.
When they took over the campsite, the young couple, already experienced in this exercise, wanted to give it a second wind. The team in place was renewed (Philippe and Celine) and it is together that they rolled up their sleeves to modernize quickly and before the opening in April 2020, the image of the campsite.
A new rental space has been rethought. Pedestrian walkway, modern and bright mobile homes. Numerous plantations have been made and a living space around the reception area is under construction. One should notably find there the restoration point which will open its doors in July.
There is no shortage of work and projects are swarming:
- An aquatic space
- A playground for children
- Special spa accommodation
In short, the coming years will be busy, but the couple, already owners of another campsite in the Catalan hinterland, CAMPING LA TOUR DE FRANCE, remains more motivated than ever. Their wish, a rapid move up-market and the emergence of a natural and responsible campsite in the Catalan hinterland.
